# Finishing a test run

## Finishing a test run

To finish a run:

1. Open the execution page.
2. Click **Finish Test** in the header.

When you finish a run:

* all step states are saved
* execution data is saved
* the run status is updated
* the run is locked from further edits

The **Finish Test** button becomes active after execution starts.

Record all important evidence and notes before you finish the run.
